BUENA PARK, Calif., Oct 17, 2012 —Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. has awarded one of its top annual supply chain awards to Leach International North America for the company’s excellent performance in 2011. Leach International is a part of Esterline Power Systems, providing Leach power and control products worldwide.
Leach was recognized as a “Supplier of the Year” for achieving 2010 and 2011 quarterly scorecard ratings of “Green” in all categories.
“We are honored to receive this award,” said Mark Thek, Esterline Power Systems president. ”This speaks to the commitment and leadership of our organization in providing exceptional service and products to customers like Gulfstream.”
Gulfstream Aerospace (a subsidiary of General Dynamics), is recognized as the world’s premier builder of high-performance business aircraft. To support their production, Esterline operates two Leach product manufacturing facilities located in Buena Park, Calif., and Tijuana, Mexico, where modern production management and vertical integration strengthen the supply chain process.
“Only a small fraction of Gulfstream suppliers are able to display this symbol within their locations. The Leach team has every right to be proud of their accomplishment,” said Bill Williams, Gulfstream’s Vice President of Materials.
