Esterline Appoints Frank Houston Corporate Group Vice President
BELLEVUE, Wash., March 28th, 2005 — Esterline Corporation ( NYSE /ESL www.esterline.com)
a leading specialty manufacturer serving aerospace / defense markets, today announced that Frank Houston has been appointed as a Group Vice President. Houston most recently served as President of Esterline’s Seattle-based Korry Electronics subsidiary.
Robert W. Cremin , Esterline CEO, said, “…in Frank’s more than 20 years with Esterline, he has led a number of major business transactions, and participated in several important acquisition projects. Frank also has become a champion of lean manufacturing implementation, making me confident that he will continue to help us build on our strategic opportunities.”
Houston joined Esterline’s Korry operation early in his career and later held a series of senior management assignments there in operations, customer service, marketing, and as Chief Operating Officer. In 2000, Houston accepted an assignment as President of Esterline’s Advanced Input Systems operation in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, shortly after Esterline acquired the business. As such, he played a key role in integrating that organization into Esterline. Houston returned to Korry in 2002 as president.
Houston holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Seattle Pacific University and and an MBA from the University of Washington.
