HOW THE thiNcoder™ ROTOR WORKS
The thiNcoder™ Rotor operates when a user manipulates the rotary knob. When the knob twists, the magnet within the rotary causes the gold-plated balls to rotate within their circular housing. As the balls roll across the flex-circuit membrane, they move either into or out of shorting relation with the electrodes, and the user's input is received by the machine.

Founded in 1997, Duraswitch is a next generation switch technology. Duraswitch was purchased by Esterline Interface Technologies in October of 2008.
Duraswitch engineering solutions can not be achieved through traditional switch technologies. Our dedicated engineering team works with OEM’s to solve switching challenges.
