Here is an abstract of the presentation: The integration of traditional human control devices and new revolutionary human control technologies will be discussed. The development of more complex and multi-function user interface control panels require the utilization of a product platform development strategy. The ability to fuse traditional and revolutionary human control technologies is complex and demanding. Product performance and functionality requirements of today’s human interface control panel have become a significant challenge for OEM and EMS organizations. The technologies and devices that will be addressed are: Traditional control devices, Flat panel Displays, Multi-touch touch screens, capacitive controls, and Haptic Touch screen technology.
