Esterline Promotes Mike McCoy to President of its Korry Electronics Subsidiary

EVERETT, Wash., August 2, 2011 — Esterline Corporation (NYSE:ESL), a leading specialty manufacturer serving the aerospace and defense markets, today announced that Mike McCoy was appointed president of its Korry Electronics subsidiary. Located in Everett, Wash., the Korry products facility employs approximately 600 people and is the largest operating unit of the Esterline Control Systems business platform.

McCoy began his career with Esterline in 1998 as a cost estimator at the Korry facility. The strength of his work earned him a promotion to a senior staff position at another Esterline subsidiary in Kent, Wash, where he served as Finance & IT Director from 2003 to 2007. McCoy then returned to the Control Systems platform as its vice president of finance. In addition to his finance duties, McCoy stepped in as interim president for the Control Systems platform, managing four Esterline locations across the U.S., during the last six months.

Michel Potvin, who was recently hired as the Control Systems platform president, said, “I'm so pleased to be working with Mike in his new capacity. Before joining Esterline, McCoy held various financial management roles with Winchell's Donut Houses, which had roughly 900 operating units at the time. While there, he assisted with the sale of the company to Pepsico. He also spent six years as part-owner and manager of a custom home building company. He has a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Idaho and is a Lean certified member of the Professional Pricing Society.
