SYLMAR, Calif., November 2007 — Mason Controls, a subsidiary of Esterline Technologies, Bellevue, Wash., (NYSE:ESL) announced today the appointment of Bijan Salamat vice president of engineering.

Bijan comes to Esterline-Mason with a BSEE and 20+ years of aerospace and defense experience, most recently as Director of Engineering – Landing Systems at Crane Aerospace/Hydro-Aire in Burbank where he successfully lead the development of landing systems on multiple airframes for Embraer, Bombardier, Learjet and Lockheed-Martin (JSF).  Additionally, Bijan holds multiple patents and was awarded the Aviation Week and Space Technology Laurel Award – Innovation in the Field of Electronics.
