Korry 389 Technical Guide

Korry 389 QS units include the same patented Korry LED arrays as our normal-lead-time units, for significant performance and cost benefits. Installation is simple and quick because the switches include all required power-conditioning and dimming circuitry. No modification to aircraft power or wiring is needed. Korry LED products operate with existing voltage inputs, and a common voltage source can be used with all switches and indicators, regardless of color.

  • Life-of-the-aircraft longevity
LED illumination has a life in excess of 150,000 hours versus 1,000 hours for incandescent.

  • Lower maintenance costs
By eliminating lamps and lamp replacement, there are ongoing savings in avoided inventory, labor, and AOGs.

  • Reduced surface temperature
The touch temperature of the display face is more than 50 percent lower than with incandescent lamps.

  • Reduced power consumption
LEDs reduce power consumption by as much as 50 percent.Reduced power consumption

  • Enhanced electrical protection
Built-in circuitry provides protection against surges, lightning, and EMI/EMC. In addition, the unit is polarity insensitive, for foolproof installation.

  • Stable color separation in bright and dim modes
An LED display maintains the same color with varying input voltage. In incandescent displays, the temperature of the lamps varies with the voltage and changes the illumination color.
