Our History

What are now Esterline's Korry product lines for operator interfaces have their origins in the innovations of a former Boeing engineer, Boris Korry, and the company he founded in 1937, Korry Electronics. He started by manufacturing his invention, the first front-relampable illuminated indicator for aviation, which he sold to Boeing for the cockpit of the 307 Stratoliner. He and his company went on to develop and distribute other innovative display and switching products to meet growing demand from aircraft manufacturers.

Today, Korry product lines still include the most advanced switches and indicators for aviation as well as custom interface and lighting solutions, including integrated controls, switch panels, and high-performance displays. Our products can be found on most military and commercial aircraft, in addition to many military ships and vehicles.

True to Boris Korry's spirit of innovation, Esterline continues to pioneer new technologies, including our Nightshield® shatterproof night-vision filters and high-performance AMLCD displays and controls. We also maintain his commitment to uncompromising quality and prompt delivery.
