Overview

The Cobra and CobraPLUS is a modular, lightweight and rugged single earphone headset. It provides excellent voice intelligibility in a wide range of noise environments, while the “off the ear” earphone provides excellent ambient noise awareness.

The Cobra has a choice of head attachments so it is comfortable and offers the flexibility to adapt to a range of operational requirements.

Applications

In its simplest form, the earpiece and microphone assembly with a headstrap, the Cobra has a low profile, is very lightweight and very stable. This makes it comfortable and practical for use in high tempo operations, in a variety of terrains and climates. This includes being submersible up to 2 meters for 1 hour.

Various head fixings including the headstrap, headband ear cushion kit and helmet clip enable it to be used with a wide range of headgear from a steel helmet to CB hoods and paratroop helmets.

The Cobra headset is designed for high reliability, to provide excellent communications, to offer natural situational awareness and and to be easy to use. It is ideal for all the operational needs of the dismounted infantry soldier.
