CMA-730 Vertical Instrument Display System (VIDS)
- Performance monitoring at a glance from color-coded vertical displays
- Mature technology
- NVG compatible
In the 1970s, CMC launched its line of vertical scale cockpit engine instruments (VIDS) designed to provide pilots with accurate information on engine status at all times.
CMC's robust and highly reliable engine instruments rapidly gained popularity on board a wide range of commercial and military fixed wing and rotary aircraft. The instruments' modular design greatly simplified their adaptation to customers' growing requirements.
The U.S. Army chose the military version of VIDS for their Black Hawk and Seahawk helicopters in the early 1970s. CMC's VIDS are currently installed on more than 2,500 series H-60 helicopters, and will be operational in the year 2025 and beyond.
VIDS are still in production. Product support is provided by a specialized team offering top calibre services. CMC offers its customers spare parts, test equipment as well as technical documentation.
VIDS are currently used on the following platforms:
- U.S. Army UH-60A/L/Q Black Hawk, HH-60H, MH-60K and EH-60
- U.S. Navy SH-60B/F Seahawk
- U.S. Coast Guard HH-65 SRR
- U.S. Army AH-64A Apache
- U.S. Army OH-58D Kiowa Warrior
- U.S. Navy E-2C Hawkeye
