(Dubai Airshow – November 15, 2009) Esterline CMC Electronics (CMC) has been selected by the Chilean Air Force for the complete cockpit avionics systems upgrade of its C-130 fleet. As prime contractor, CMC is responsible for delivery of the complete equipment suite, including the supply of turnkey installation kits as well as all in-country activities, including touch labour, training and support.

(Montreal, Canada – November 2, 2009) Esterline CMC Electronics’ new 10.4 inch Class 2 PilotView® Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) launched at NBAA 2008 and selected by Boeing for its Next-Generation 737s and BBJs will be installed on Next-Generation 737s starting in the third quarter of 2010. The Class 2 EFB system will be available on production airplanes and for retrofit.

(National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) – October 19, 2009) Esterline CMC Electronics' PilotView® CMA-1100 MkII Class 2 Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) launched last fall is now in full-scale production. Retaining the proven design of the CMA-1100, the new MkII EFB features processor and memory upgrades, and offers performance improvements and reduced boot time. As with its predecessor, this compact and lightweight display-processor provides optimum flexibility and mobility.

(National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) – October 19, 2009) During a press conference held today, Esterline CMC Electronics (CMC) presented Midcoast Aviation of St. Louis, Missouri, with the 2009 Dealer of the Year Award in recognition of outstanding sales achievements of CMC’s PilotView® Electronic Flight Bag (EFB). Greg Yeldon, President, Esterline CMC Electronics, and Bruce Bailey, CMC Vice President, Commercial Aviation, presented the award to Blake Hogge, Senior Manager, Avionics and Maintenance Sales, Midcoast Aviation.

ATR selected the PilotView EFB as a standard option for new aircraft production and for retrofits of in-service ATR-42 and ATR-72 aircraft. The dual installation PilotView EFBs will enable paperless cockpit operations, including aircraft data, procedures manuals and interactive electronic charts.

(National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) – October 19, 2009) Esterline CMC Electronics' PilotView® Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) has been certified by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) for the Dassault Falcon 7X business jet. The PilotView EFB is a standard option for the Falcon 7X as well as the 2000DX, 2000LX, 900DX, 900EX and 900LX series of business jets.

(National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) – October 19, 2009) Esterline CMC Electronics’ IntegriFlight™ Global Positioning System (GPS) product family has now been certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Transport Canada for stand-alone approach operations. This has been accomplished by the addition of CMC’s CMA-5025 product as a Control Panel for the company’s CMA-5024 Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) GPS receiver.

(Montreal, Quebec – August 19, 2009) Esterline Corporation has announced the promotion of Gregory (Greg) Yeldon to the position of President of its subsidiary Esterline CMC Electronics Inc. (CMC), effective August 13, 2009.

(Montreal, Canada – July 29, 2009) Esterline CMC Electronics (CMC) has received Technical Standard Order (TSO) approval from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for its Cockpit 4000 Integrated Avionics System as installed on the Hawker Beechcraft Corporation (HBC) T-6B Texan trainer aircraft. The FAA TSO was issued following civil certification by Transport Canada of the Cockpit 4000 Integrated Avionics System on June 12, 2009.

(Montreal, Canada – July 14, 2009) Esterline CMC Electronics has been awarded a contract by BAE Systems to supply its Portable Mission Display known as TacView® for U.S. Navy C-130T aircraft. The Navy intends to employ two TacView systems per cockpit installation to facilitate paperless cockpit functionality, including aircraft data, procedure manuals and interactive electronic charts for improved situational awareness and streamlined cockpit operations.

(Paris Air Show – June 18, 2009) Esterline CMC Electronics (CMC) has been contracted by Air France Industries, France, to supply CMC’s latest generation Flight Management System (FMS), known as the CMA-9000; the IntegriFlight ™ CMA-5024 Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver as well as a Fuel Management Panel for the avionics upgrade of the French Air Force’s C-135FR and KC-135R fleet of fourteen tanker aircraft.

(Paris Air Show – June 15, 2009) Esterline CMC Electronics (CMC) has achieved civil certification from Transport Canada for its Cockpit 4000 Integrated Avionics System as installed on the Hawker Beechcraft Corporation (HBC) T-6B Texan trainer aircraft.

(Paris Air Show – June 15, 2009) Esterline CMC Electronics’ new 10.4 inch Class 2 PilotView® Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) which was launched at NBAA 2008 and entered production in May 2009, is on display for the first time at the Paris Air Show. Compact and portable, this avionics grade EFB system enables paperless cockpit operations, including electronic charts, graphical weather, aircraft and operator manuals.

(Paris Air Show – June 15, 2009) Esterline CMC Electronics’ cockpit avionics suite is featured in one of the initial production batch of Finnish Air Force Hawk Mk51 upgraded trainers on static display in the 2009 Paris Air Show flight line. CMC Electronics was selected by Patria, Finland, to perform a glass cockpit avionics upgrade of fifteen BAE Systems Hawk trainers for the Finnish Air Force in January 2007.

(Paris Air Show – June 15, 2009) Esterline CMC Electronics signed a dealer agreement today with RUAG Aerospace Switzerland for the TacView® Portable Mission Display. CMC’s TacView system enables paperless cockpit operations, including aircraft data and procedures manuals, interactive electronic charts and improved situational awareness.

(Paris Air Show – June 15, 2009) Esterline CMC Electronics (CMC) and Boeing have signed an agreement for CMC’s multi-channel SwiftBroadband compliant CMA-2102SB Satellite Communications (Satcom) high gain antenna system to be available from the Boeing factory on the B777. The new-generation CMA-2102SB antenna supports Inmarsat Aero-H+, Swift64 and SwiftBroadband satellite communications services. The design of this top-mounted, low-profile antenna with exceptional bandwidth is based on CMC’s field proven, proprietary technology and architecture used in its current industry leading CMA-2102 high gain antenna system.

(Paris Air Show – June 15, 2009) Esterline CMC Electronics’ new CMA-2102SB Satellite Communications (Satcom) high gain antenna system recently has received Inmarsat multi-channel SwiftBroadband approval and Transport Canada Appliance Type Approval. The CMA-2102SB is the only top-mount ARINC 741 antenna to receive such approval.
