(Montreal, Canada – July 29, 2009) Esterline CMC Electronics (CMC) has received Technical Standard Order (TSO) approval from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for its Cockpit 4000 Integrated Avionics System as installed on the Hawker Beechcraft Corporation (HBC) T-6B Texan trainer aircraft. The FAA TSO was issued following civil certification by Transport Canada of the Cockpit 4000 Integrated Avionics System on June 12, 2009.

ATR selected the PilotView® EFB as a standard option for new aircraft production and for retrofits of in-service ATR-42 and ATR-72 aircraft. The dual installation PilotView® EFBs will enable paperless cockpit operations, including aircraft data, procedures manuals and interactive electronic charts.

The CMC Cockpit 4000 includes an Integrated Avionics Computer (IAC), a Heads-Up Display (HUD), Up Front Control Panel (UFCP), and Multifunction Displays (MFDs). CMC received the order in November 2008 for the first 35 aircraft in the production run after completing all necessary program requirements.

The C145 Beta-3 is the most stringent category for Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) navigation receivers and the C146 Delta-4 category allows these receivers to provide Precision Approach guidance signals to the aircraft’s autopilot and instrument displays to execute a Localizer Precision with Vertical (LPV) approach.

(CMC) has received its first production order from Hawker Beechcraft Corporation (HBC) for CMC’s Integrated Avionics System (IAS) for the HBC T-6B Texan trainer aircraft in November 2008. The IAS, known as the CMC Cockpit 4000, includes an Integrated Avionics Computer (IAC), a Heads-Up Display (HUD), Up Front Control Panel (UFCP), and Multifunction Displays (MFDs). CMC received the order for the first 35 aircraft in the production run after completing all necessary program requirements. This order comes approximately seven months after HBC successfully conducted its first flight on the T-6B Texan in April 2008.
