(Montreal, Canada – July 29, 2009) Esterline CMC Electronics (CMC) has received Technical Standard Order (TSO) approval from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for its Cockpit 4000 Integrated Avionics System as installed on the Hawker Beechcraft Corporation (HBC) T-6B Texan trainer aircraft. The FAA TSO was issued following civil certification by Transport Canada of the Cockpit 4000 Integrated Avionics System on June 12, 2009.

(Montreal, Canada – July 14, 2009) Esterline CMC Electronics has been awarded a contract by BAE Systems to supply its Portable Mission Display known as TacView® for U.S. Navy C-130T aircraft. The Navy intends to employ two TacView systems per cockpit installation to facilitate paperless cockpit functionality, including aircraft data, procedure manuals and interactive electronic charts for improved situational awareness and streamlined cockpit operations.

(Paris Air Show – June 18, 2009) Esterline CMC Electronics (CMC) has been contracted by Air France Industries, France, to supply CMC’s latest generation Flight Management System (FMS), known as the CMA-9000; the IntegriFlight ™ CMA-5024 Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver as well as a Fuel Management Panel for the avionics upgrade of the French Air Force’s C-135FR and KC-135R fleet of fourteen tanker aircraft.

(Paris Air Show – June 15, 2009) Esterline CMC Electronics’ new 10.4 inch Class 2 PilotView® Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) which was launched at NBAA 2008 and entered production in May 2009, is on display for the first time at the Paris Air Show. Compact and portable, this avionics grade EFB system enables paperless cockpit operations, including electronic charts, graphical weather, aircraft and operator manuals.

(Paris Air Show – June 15, 2009) Esterline CMC Electronics’ Class 2 PilotView® Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) has been certified by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) for ATR aircraft. ATR selected the PilotView® EFB as a standard option for new aircraft production and for retrofits of in-service ATR-42 and ATR-72 aircraft. The dual installation PilotView® EFBs will enable paperless cockpit operations, including aircraft data, procedures manuals and interactive electronic charts.

(Paris Air Show – June 15, 2009) Esterline CMC Electronics’ cockpit avionics suite is featured in one of the initial production batch of Finnish Air Force Hawk Mk51 upgraded trainers on static display in the 2009 Paris Air Show flight line. CMC Electronics was selected by Patria, Finland, to perform a glass cockpit avionics upgrade of fifteen BAE Systems Hawk trainers for the Finnish Air Force in January 2007.

The new-generation CMA-2102SB antenna supports Inmarsat Aero-H+, Swift64 and SwiftBroadband satellite communications services. The design of this top-mounted, low-profile antenna with exceptional bandwidth is based on CMC’s field proven, proprietary technology and architecture used in its current industry leading CMA-2102 high gain antenna system.

(Paris Air Show – June 15, 2009) Esterline CMC Electronics’ new CMA-2102SB Satellite Communications (Satcom) high gain antenna system recently has received Inmarsat multi-channel SwiftBroadband approval and Transport Canada Appliance Type Approval. The CMA-2102SB is the only top-mount ARINC 741 antenna to receive such approval.

(Paris Air Show – June 15, 2009) CMC Electronics has achieved an important milestone with the recent delivery of Safety of Flight software for its latest generation Flight Management System (FMS) known as the CMA-9000 selected for the Thales avionics suite on the Sukhoi SuperJet 100 Russian Regional Jet (SSJ-100) program. CMC is proud of this achievement since the SSJ-100 on display at this year’s Paris Air Show is equipped with dual CMA-9000 FMSs. (Montreal, Canada – Dec. 17, 2008) CMC Electronics’ IntegriFlight™ CMA-5024 aviation Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver was certified recently by the FAA and Transport Canada to TSO-C145b Beta-3 and TSO-146 Delta-4. The C145 Beta-3 is the most stringent category for Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) navigation receivers and the C146 Delta-4 category allows these receivers to provide Precision Approach guidance signals to the aircraft’s autopilot and instrument displays to execute a Localizer Precision with Vertical (LPV) approach.

(CMC) has received its first production order from Hawker Beechcraft Corporation (HBC) for CMC’s Integrated Avionics System (IAS) for the HBC T-6B Texan trainer aircraft in November 2008. The IAS, known as the CMC Cockpit 4000, includes an Integrated Avionics Computer (IAC), a Heads-Up Display (HUD), Up Front Control Panel (UFCP), and Multifunction Displays (MFDs). CMC received the order for the first 35 aircraft in the production run after completing all necessary program requirements. This order comes approximately seven months after HBC successfully conducted its first flight on the T-6B Texan in April 2008.

(Montreal, Canada – November 24, 2008) CMC Electronics has signed a teaming agreement with Patria Aviation of Finland for the exclusive marketing of cockpit avionics upgrades of BAE Systems Hawk Mk50/60 and 100 series trainer aircraft. The upgrades will be offered to existing Hawk Mk50/60 and 100 series operators.
