(Montreal, Canada – Dec. 17, 2008) CMC Electronics’ IntegriFlight™ CMA-5024 aviation Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver was certified recently by the FAA and Transport Canada to TSO-C145b Beta-3 and TSO-146 Delta-4. The C145 Beta-3 is the most stringent category for Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) navigation receivers and the C146 Delta-4 category allows these receivers to provide Precision Approach guidance signals to the aircraft’s autopilot and instrument displays to execute a Localizer Precision with Vertical (LPV) approach.

(Montreal, Canada – December 11, 2008) CMC Electronics Inc. (CMC) has received its first production order from Hawker Beechcraft Corporation (HBC) for CMC’s Integrated Avionics System (IAS) for the HBC T-6B Texan trainer aircraft in November 2008. The IAS, known as the CMC Cockpit 4000, includes an Integrated Avionics Computer (IAC), a Heads-Up Display (HUD), Up Front Control Panel (UFCP), and Multifunction Displays (MFDs). CMC received the order for the first 35 aircraft in the production run after completing all necessary program requirements. This order comes approximately seven months after HBC successfully conducted its first flight on the T-6B Texan in April 2008.

ATI has already selected CMC Electronics’ state-of-the-art Flight Management System (FMS) known as the CMA-9000 for the retrofit of its A300-600ST fleet. The installation will consist of dual CMA-5024 systems, providing the aircraft with enhanced operational capability.

(Montreal, Canada – October 15, 2008) Patria of Finland recently flew CMC Electronics’ Cockpit 4000 integrated avionics suite on the Hawk Mk51 trainer aircraft from Halli Airfield, Finland. CMC’s avionics suite performed successfully during the one hour and forty minute first flight, which was flown by two Finnish Air Force test pilots. In February 2007, CMC Electronics announced that its Cockpit 4000 glass cockpit avionics had been selected by Patria for their upgrade of fifteen BAE Systems Hawk trainers for the Finnish Air Force.

The I-Series sensor system will be integrated with RCHGS’ HGS-4000® Head-up Guidance System and offered to all current and future operators of Boeing 737 based Boeing Business Jets®. Certification by RCHGS of the Enhanced Flight Vision System as a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) is anticipated in 2009.
