(Montreal - February 25, 2008) CMC Electronics is supplying its state-of-the-art CMA-9000 Flight Management System (FMS) to Pilatus Aircraft Ltd. as a standard fit on the fleet of Pilatus PC-21 turboprop trainer aircraft selected by the Republic of Singapore Air Force. CMC Electronics is also supplying its compact, high-performance SparrowHawk Head Up Display (HUD) integrated with a HUD Symbol Generator, and a Video Display Unit for the rear cockpit of the PC-21.

(Montreal and Singapore Air Show - February 19, 2008) CMC Electronics is on track to complete deliveries of Head Up Display (HUD) subsystems to Pilatus Aircraft Ltd. for the Republic of Singapore Air Force's fleet of PC-21 aircraft. Pilatus Aircraft awarded CMC Electronics the contract for the supply of 25 HUDs in November 2006. CMC is also contracted to provide software that is certifiable to DO-178 Level C.

The CMA-2700 will feature next-generation digital signal processing, a high-resolution 640 x 512 pixel Focal Plane Array, and will be certified to the highest level yet for an integrated sensor system: Level B certification to DO-178B and DO-254. The Approved Model List (AML) change grants Pentastar the first Class 2 EFB system approval for full-time 3D position interface (own-ship position mapping) in the industry.

The aircraft are operated by the "Guardia di Finanza", Italy's Border Patrol agency. The CMA-9000 is part of the Communications Navigation Identification architecture provided by SELEX Communications, a Finmeccanica Company.

(Paris Air Show - June 19, 2007) CMC Electronics Inc. has signed a contract with Lufthansa and Lufthansa Technik to supply its latest generation Flight Management System (FMS) known as the CMA-9000 for the retrofit of its fleet of fourteen A300-600 aircraft. The upgraded A300-600s have a much larger Navigation Database, improved performance optimization and increased datalink capability. The installation will consist of a dual CMA-9000 Flight Management System, providing the aircraft with multi-sensor based navigation and enhanced operational capability. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in early 2009.

(Paris Air Show - June 18, 2007) The CMC Electronics SureSight® M-Series™ Enhanced Vision System (EVS) sensor has been approved by the Federal Aviation Administration for installation on the Pilatus PC-12 aircraft. CMC's M-Series EVS sensor and PilotView® Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) were selected as factory options by Pilatus Business Aircraft Ltd. on the PC-12. The PilotView EFB will function as a stand-alone system and as a display for the M-Series EVS sensor. The Supplemental Type Certification (STC) for the PilotView EFB installation is expected shortly. Pilatus is offering the SureSight M-Series EVS sensor as well as as the PilotView EFB as retrofit kits to their dealer network.
