Montreal, December 1, 2006 - The Quebec Minister of Employment and Social Solidarity, Michelle Courchesne, and the President and CEO of CMC Electronics, Jean-Pierre Mortreux, have announced a $2.8 million investment by CMC in an employee training program which includes financial support of $745,000 from Emploi-Québec. The training program involves 215 specialized jobs of which 140 are new positions.

(National Business Aviation Association - October 16, 2006) ABC Completions of Montreal, Quebec, has received Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) approval to install the CMC Electronics' PilotView® Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) on a CL-604 Challenger business jet aircraft. As part of the installation, ABC Completions has provided a custom made telescopic articulating mount, which places the EFB in the optimum position for comfortable viewing and usage, while maintaining safe operations of all cockpit controls. ABC Completions received a STC for CMC Electronics' class 2 EFB on a Global Express in 2005.

The STC covers a yoke mounted EFB solution that provides Gulfstream and Dassault operators with the capability to display Jeppesen charts and graphical weather information.

The STC covers a side-mounted EFB solution, providing Global Express operators with the capability to display Jeppesen charts and to use the PilotView as an alternate display for their Enhanced Vision System.

CMC Electronics was recently awarded a contract by Raytheon Aircraft Company as the prime contractor for the Avionics Systems Integration of the Beechcraft T-6B military trainer aircraft. The Beechcraft T-6B is an evolutionary trainer aircraft based on the T-6A Texan II, a tandem cockpit, turboprop trainer aircraft used by the U.S. Air Force for basic pilot training and by the U.S. Navy for Primary and Intermediate Joint Naval Flight Officer and Air Force Navigator / Weapons Systems Officer training.
