(Montreal, Quebec - December 18, 2003) CMC Electronics Inc. has formed a marketing alliance with Abu Dhabi based Gulf Aircraft Maintenance Company (GAMCO) to pursue cockpit avionics upgrade programs of classic commercial and classic military aircraft. This alliance was launched with the recent selection by the Dubai Air Wing of GAMCO as the prime contractor for their C-130 cockpit upgrade and CMC Electronics as the avionics systems integrator for the project. CMC Electronics will supply its CMA-900 Flight Management System (FMS) as the core of the upgrade, while GAMCO is responsible for all Program Depot Maintenance requirements and a new cargo handling system as well as the installation of the aviation upgrade systems.

CMC Electronics acted as overall program manager and system integrator and supplied its Global Positioning System (GPS) -based CMA-900 Flight Management System (FMS) as well as its CMA-2102 High Gain Satellite Communications (Satcom) Antenna. The balance of the aircraft will be completed over the next 12 to18 months.

(Montreal, Quebec - November 4, 2003) CMC Electronics Inc. continues to successfully meet program requirements as prime contractor of the CP-140 Aurora (Canadian version of the P-3 Orion) Navigation and Flight Instruments (NFI) Modernization Project for the Canadian Department of National Defence (DND). After extensive system integration lab testing by CMC Electronics of the new NFI avionics suite, CMC Electronics and the installer, IMP Aerospace of Halifax, Nova Scotia, have completed all ground-based installed system tests of the aircraft, including EMI/EMC testing, in preparation for functional/physical configuration audits and full flight testing early in 2004.

On display are the KT-1C's tightly integrated avionics suite comprised of CMC Electronics' 25° TFOV (Total Field of View) SparrowHawk Head-Up Display (HUD), three 5x7 Multifunction Displays (MFDs) and the FV-4000 Open Architecture Mission Computer. In addition to supplying the avionics suite, CMC Electronics, as the prime avionics contractor, will be responsible for the entire KT-1C avionics integration effort, including the integration of navigation sensors and navigation and communication radios.

(Montreal and Ottawa, Canada - July 15, 2003) CMC Electronics Inc. has received orders to supply its high gain Satellite Communications (Satcom) antenna system known as the CMA-2102 to EVA Air to complete the retrofit of the airline's B747-400 fleet. These orders cover eight aircraft plus four options. Deliveries will be completed by January 2004. EVA has been operating the CMA-2102 since 1993, starting with its MD-11s, followed by new B747-400 passenger and freighter aircraft, and soon on its new A330 fleet.

According to Westland officials, the program involves the first ever installation of a HUD on a Westland built helicopter. The first flight qualified CMC Electronics HUD is being delivered to Westland for flight trials due to begin in September 2003 on a Super Lynx 300. Deliveries of production HUDs will start later this year.

(Paris International Air Show - June 15, 2003) CMC Electronics Cincinnati has been selected by Northrop Grumman Corporation’s Electronic Systems sector as a team member supporting and protecting America’s premier F-35 Joint Strike Fighter aircraft. CMC will provide mega-pixel Infrared Detector Assemblies (IDAs) used in the Electro-Optical Distributed Aperture System (EO DAS) suite of six sensors, which will give a 24-hour, all-weather, all-aspect imaging capability. The suite provides full spherical coverage around the aircraft for missile threat warning, navigation and situational awareness. An additional IDA will be used in the Electro Optical Targeting System (EOTS) pod in many of the aircraft.
