(Montreal, Quebec and ION GPS/GNSS 2003 Conference - Portland, Oregon, September 9, 2003) CMC Electronics has achieved an important milestone with its new-generation aviation Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver that is embedded in ACSS's new Terrain and Traffic Collision Avoidance System (T2CASTM), which was recently certified by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (TSO C-129a). ACSS is a joint L-3 Communications and Thales Avionics company, and a leader in safety avionics systems which serve all aviation markets.

(Montreal and Ottawa, Canada - July 15, 2003) CMC Electronics Inc. has received orders to supply its high gain Satellite Communications (Satcom) antenna system known as the CMA-2102 to EVA Air to complete the retrofit of the airline's B747-400 fleet. These orders cover eight aircraft plus four options. Deliveries will be completed by January 2004. EVA has been operating the CMA-2102 since 1993, starting with its MD-11s, followed by new B747-400 passenger and freighter aircraft, and soon on its new A330 fleet.

(Montreal, Quebec and Chicago, Illinois - July 7, 2003) CMC Electronics Inc. expects to complete an avionics upgrade program for the U.S. Navy’s fleet of F-14B fighters and deliver the final avionics upgrade packages to the Oceana Naval Air Station, Virginia, this month. The company was awarded the US$9 million avionics upgrade contract by Northrop Grumman in 1998.

(Paris International Air Show - June 15, 2003) CMC Electronics Inc. and Westland Helicopters Limited are developing an overhead mounted Head-Up-Display (HUD) unit and associated mission avionics for rotary wing aircraft, further to signing an agreement last year. According to Westland officials, the program involves the first ever installation of a HUD on a Westland built helicopter. The first flight qualified CMC Electronics HUD is being delivered to Westland for flight trials due to begin in September 2003 on a Super Lynx 300. Deliveries of production HUDs will start later this year.

(Paris International Air Show - June 15, 2003) CMC Electronics Cincinnati has been selected by Northrop Grumman Corporation’s Electronic Systems sector as a team member supporting and protecting America’s premier F-35 Joint Strike Fighter aircraft. CMC will provide mega-pixel Infrared Detector Assemblies (IDAs) used in the Electro-Optical Distributed Aperture System (EO DAS) suite of six sensors, which will give a 24-hour, all-weather, all-aspect imaging capability. The suite provides full spherical coverage around the aircraft for missile threat warning, navigation and situational awareness. An additional IDA will be used in the Electro Optical Targeting System (EOTS) pod in many of the aircraft.

In addition to its current infrared sensor system, called the “I-series™”, CMC is offering a lower cost sensor system called the “M-series™”. (Paris International Air Show - June 15, 2003) CMC Electronics Inc. continues to successfully meet program requirements as prime contractor of the CP-140 Aurora Navigation and Flight Instruments (NFI) Modernization Project for the Canadian Department of National Defence (DND). After extensive system integration lab testing by CMC of the new NFI avionics suite, CMC Electronics and the installer, IMP Canada, finished the initial round of ground-based installed system tests of the aircraft in April. All of the ground testing will be completed in time to begin comprehensive flight trials in September 2003.

(Paris International Air Show - June 15, 2003) CMC Electronics Inc. has received orders from Air China to supply its high gain Satellite Communications (Satcom) antenna system known as the CMA-2102 to Air China for the following aircraft: A340-300 (3 firm) and B767-300 (1 firm, 2 options). Deliveries will be completed by December 2004. This is the first set of orders that CMC Electronics has received from China's flag carrier, who leads the recently established China National Aviation Holding group that also includes China National Aviation Corporation and China Southwest Airlines.

(NASDAQ: NGPS). The announcement follows the signing by both companies of a Memorandum of Understanding, which was announced in February 2003.

Deliveries will be completed by January 2004.

(Montréal and Ottawa, March 25, 2003) CMC Electronics Inc. has been selected by Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation to provide its CMA-2082M Flight Management System (two per aircraft) and CMA-2088 Emergency Control Panel for the UH-60M Black Hawk aircraft. CMC anticipates that it will supply these systems for over 1,200 aircraft that will be upgraded. The total value of this effort may exceed US $110 million in sales over the life of the program.

(Montréal, January 29, 2003) Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) announces the selection of CMC Electronics Inc. as the avionics systems integrator for its KT-1C trainer aircraft projected for the international export market. Under the terms of the contract, CMC Electronics will develop an avionics Systems Integration Laboratory (SIL) and provide an all glass cockpit avionics upgrade for the new trainer aircraft.
