(Farnborough International Air Show – July 19, 2010) Esterline CMC Electronics (CMC) is pleased to announce that it is a team member of the Hawker Beechcraft Corporation (HBC) initiative to demonstrate the capabilities of the new Beechcraft AT-6 Light Attack and Armed Reconnaissance (LAAR) prototype aircraft to the U.S. Air Force (USAF) in scenarios that showcase its support for irregular warfare operations. CMC’s integrated glass Cockpit 4000 avionics suite is featured on the AT-6 prototype, which is making its first appearance at HBC’s static display at Farnborough.

(Farnborough International Air Show – July 19, 2010) Esterline CMC Electronics (CMC) has signed a contract with Patria Aviation Oy, Finland, to provide service support for the fleet of upgraded BAE Systems Hawk advanced jet trainers for the Finnish Air Force. The Finnish Air Force purchased 18 ex-Swiss Air Force Hawk Mk66 aircraft in 2007 to add to their fleet of Hawk Mk51s.

(Farnborough International Air Show – July 19, 2010) The Finnish Air Force has recently conducted successful air-to-air firing trials with an upgraded Hawk Mk51 advanced jet trainer. The Esterline CMC Electronics (CMC) glass cockpit upgrade of the Hawk Mk51 includes computed weapon aiming solutions displayed on the CMC SparrowHawk Head-Up Display (HUD). The trials were flown over the Baltic in February 2010 using the Hawk’s centerline mounted 30mm ADEN cannon pod against a series of towed and instrumented targets. Patria Aviation Oy and CMC personnel supported the trials.

(Farnborough International Air Show – July 19, 2010) Esterline CMC Electronics (CMC) is pleased to announce that the new CAE C-130H full-mission simulator inaugurated recently at the CAE C-130 training center in Tampa, Florida, features CMC’s Cockpit 9000 avionics systems. CMC offers the Cockpit 9000 to global C-130 operators considering avionics modernization programs for existing C-130 Hercules aircraft.

(Farnborough International Air Show – July 19, 2010) Esterline CMC Electronics (CMC) has successfully completed the Coalition Warrior Interoperability Demonstration (CWID) trials that were held in June 2010. Canadian Air Force and U.S. Navy role players, with support from the U.S. Air Force and NATO, conducted an independent evaluation of CMC’s TacView® Portable Mission Display and its suitability to enhance situational awareness and reduce aircrew workload.

(Farnborough International Air Show – July 19, 2010) Esterline CMC Electronics (CMC) is pleased to announce that its multi-channel SwiftBroadband compliant Satellite Communications (Satcom) High Gain Antenna System was certified in late June 2010 on the Spanish Air Force’s A310 aircraft along with Rockwell Collins Satcom avionics. The project has been led by Iberia Maintenance, the Spanish Air Force and the Spanish Government. The EASA certification was developed by EAD Aerospace of Toulouse, France. CMC is supplying its new-generation CMA-2102SB antenna as an upgrade to its CMA-2102 antenna that was onboard the A310s.

(Farnborough International Air Show – July 19, 2010) Esterline CMC Electronics (CMC) is pleased to announce that Air France has selected CMC’s multi-channel SwiftBroadband compliant Satellite Communications (Satcom) high gain antenna system to equip its future B777-300 aircraft. The new-generation CMA-2102SB antenna supports Inmarsat Safety Services, Aero-H+, Swift64 and SwiftBroadband satellite communications services.

(Farnborough International Airshow – July 19, 2010) Esterline CMC Electronics (CMC) is pleased to announce that its IntegriFlight™ CMA-5024 Global Positioning System (GPS) Landing System Sensor has been selected by Lufthansa Airlines for the retrofit of eleven A340 and six B747 aircraft.

(Farnborough International Airshow – July 19, 2010) Esterline CMC Electronics’ new CMA-1410 Class 2 PilotView® Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) has been selected by Boeing for its B747-8 Onboard Network Access Terminal (ONAT) system. The 10.4 inch device will be used as a display terminal in the B747-8 cockpit, enabling maintenance personnel and crew to access aircraft systems from one central location and relay data where required. Boeing has already chosen the PilotView CMA-1410 for its B737NGs and BBJs as a Class 2 EFB system, which is available on both production airplanes and for retrofit.

(Farnborough International Air Show – July 19, 2010) Esterline CMC Electronics (CMC) has received an extension valued at $23.6 million to a purchase order from Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation for an additional quantity of CMC’s CMA-2082MC Flight Management System (FMS) and CMA-2088 Emergency Control Panel (ECP) in support of the U.S. Army UH-60M and S-70i™ international BLACK HAWK helicopters.

(Salon international de Farnborough – 19 juillet 2010) Esterline CMC Électronique (CMC) a signé un contrat avec Patria Aviation Oy, en Finlande, pour le soutien technique de la flotte d’avions d’entraînement à réaction avancé Hawk BAE Systems de la Force aérienne finlandaise. En 2007, la Force aérienne finlandaise a acheté 18 appareils Hawk Mk66 ayant appartenu à la Force aérienne suisse pour les ajouter à sa flotte de Hawk Mk51.

(Salon international de Farnborough – 19 juillet 2010) La Force aérienne finlandaise a récemment mené avec succès des essais de tir air-air à partir d’un avion d’entraînement à réaction avancé Hawk Mk51 modernisé. Le poste de pilotage tout-écran modernisé d’Esterline CMC Électronique (CMC) à bord du Hawk Mk51 comprend des solutions de conduite de tir affichées sur le collimateur tête haute (HUD) SparrowHawk de CMC. (Salon international de Farnborough – 19 juillet 2010) Esterline CMC Électronique (CMC) annonce que son système d’antenne à gain élevé de communications par satellite (Satcom) SwiftBroadband multicanaux a obtenu, en juin 2010, l’homologation pour l’appareil A310 de la Force aérienne espagnole avec l’avionique Satcom de Rockwell Collins. Le projet a été mené par Iberia Maintenance, la Force aérienne espagnole et le gouvernement espagnol. La certification EASA a été préparée par EAD Aerospace de Toulouse, en France. CMC fournit son antenne CMA-2102SB de nouvelle génération qui est une version améliorée de son antenne CMA-2102 qui était à bord des A310.

(Salon international de Farnborough – 19 juillet 2010) Esterline CMC Électronique (CMC) annonce qu’Air France a choisi le système d’antenne à gain élevé de communications par satellite (Satcom) SwiftBroadband multicanaux de CMC pour en doter son futur appareil B777-300. L’antenne CMA-2102SB de nouvelle génération permet d’exploiter les Services de sécurité Inmarsat et les services de communications par satellite Aero-H+, Swift64 et SwiftBroadband.
