(MONTREAL, Canada and Farnborough International Air Show - July 19, 2004) Westland Helicopters Limited recently flew CMC Electronics' HeliHawk Overhead Head-Up Display (HUD) on the Super Lynx 300 helicopter. The CMC Electronics HeliHawk HUD has been installed on three export models of the Super Lynx 300. Since May 2004, the HUD has flown over ten hours, during both night and day including Night Vision Goggle operations. According to Westland officials, the program involves the first ever installation of a HUD on a Westland-built helicopter.

(MONTREAL, Canada and Farnborough International Air Show - July 19, 2004) CMC Electronics Inc. continues successfully to meet program milestones as prime contractor for the CP-140 Aurora (Canadian version of P-3 Orion) Navigation & Flight Instruments Modernization Project for Canada's Department of National Defence (DND). CMC Electronics has supplied the new avionics suite installed by IMP Aerospace of Nova Scotia, on the prototype CP-140 aircraft, which completed a successful first test flight in May 2004. As of late June, CMC and DND have completed over 50 flight hours and are cleared for Instrument Flight Rules flight using the navigation and flight instruments. The flight test phase is the final and most complex aspect of the project and is expected to be completed by autumn 2004.
