(Montréal | Ottawa, March 20, 2002) Boeing Commercial Airplanes has selected CMC Electronics as one of a handful of suppliers to install a suite of new and emerging flight deck technologies on board the new Boeing Technology Demonstrator airplane, unveiled yesterday in Seattle. The airplane, a next-generation 737-900, has been outfitted with CMC Electronics' SureSight™ Enhanced Vision System (EVS) which Boeing is highlighting as an emerging technology that "allows pilots to see objects at night and in inclement weather, thus enhancing safety and potentially reducing delays."

(Montréal, March 18, 2002) CMC Electronics has been awarded a contract valued at CAN$5.9 million to supply its latest generation radio to the Procurement Bureau of the Taiwanese Ministry of National Defense. Under the terms of the contract, the CMC Electronics High-Capacity Line-of-Sight (HCLOS) radio, the AN/GRC-245, will be integrated by the Chung Shan Institute of Science and Technology (CSIST) in a point-to-point radio relay system for voice, data and video. Deliveries of the company's HCLOS radio, antennas and MTD-2016 Eurocom multiplexer will be completed by October 2003.

(Montréal, le 18 mars 2002) CMC Électronique a obtenu un contrat de 5,9 millions $ CAN pour la fourniture de sa plus récente génération de radio au Bureau d'approvisionnement du ministère taïwanais de la Défense nationale. En vertu du contrat, le Chung Shan Institute of Science and Technology (CSIST) intégrera la radio en visibilité directe à grande capacité (HCLOS) AN/GRC-245 de CMC Électronique dans un système de relais hertzien entre points fixes pour voix, données et vidéo.
