Military communication specialist Esterline Racal Acoustics, is set to launch two new additions to the FRONTIER suite of products at this years Defence Systems & EquipmentInternational Exhibition (DSEi) in London. The FRONTIER1200 and FRONTIER1400 In-The-Ear headsets use Esterline Racal Acoustics unrivalled experience to deliver innovative, high performance, equipment to today’s dismounted infantry war fighter. The emphasis of these new headsets is to increase the capability of dismounted infantry across the whole spectrum of their operations. The FRONTIER1200 and FRONTIER1400 combine natural hearing with high levels of protection, communication integrity, equipment compatibility and user comfort. The headsets apply Racal Acoustics’ technology and know-how to deliver a product that redefines the standard for all communication ancillaries. The new FRONTIER additions are dual sided, lightweight, rugged, in-the-ear headsets. They enable users to listen to and key a single or dual channel communication via a Secure Personal Radio. They provide passive hearing protection to the dismounted soldier when either dismounted or when being transported in low to medium-noise wheeled vehicles. The FRONTIER1200 specifically allows the user to control a single channel radio transmission from a small chest mounted box allowing the radio to be carried in a back pack, on a belt or in any other “out of the way” location. The FRONTIER1400 allows a Squad Commander type of user to control two channel radio transmissions in the same form factor offering the same flexibility. Steve Rist, Product Manager, will be conducting live demonstrations of the FRONTIER1200 and FRONTIER1400 on the Esterline stand # 625. Please contact us if you are interested in securing a demonstration at DSEi.
