New High Speed Intercommunication System from Palomar Products
Mar 17

3/17/2003

Rancho Santa Margarita, CA -- March 17, 2003, Palomar Products, Inc., a leading developer and manufacturer of secure audio and data distribution systems, has introduced the DCS-2100 Secure Digital Intercommunication System.

The DCS-2100 is based on Palomar's field proven TDM digital switching technology utilized in air traffic control and custom telephony applications. The system provides a complete solution for military airborne and shipboard applications demanding secure, high quality digital voice/data switching and conferencing.

In order to ensure the secure transfer of digital voice/data, the DCS-2100 system is configured to handle multiple levels of security. All voice and data signals exchanged within the system are categorized in hierarchical security levels by multiple hardware mechanisms. The isolation structure extends from radio and crypto assets and is maintained throughout all components of the DCS-2100.

User flexibility and product scalability is engineered into each DCS-2100 system. The product's modular architecture allows individual components to be placed in a variety of strategic locations without loss of performance. To simplify the efficient placement of the system's components and improve fault tolerance, the system can be configured as a series of smaller modules interconnected by high-speed buses.

The DCS-2100 offers a variety of operator panel styles. Custom integrated front panel layouts, color LCD and individual rotary volume controls are available. LCD Operator Positions support binaural audio.

Another key feature of the DCS-2100 is the emergency back-up mode, which does not require additional wires. In back-up mode, users can access the PA, Emergency CALL NET and radios without the need for additional equipment.

For other applications, the DCS-2100 can be upgraded with telecom interfaces such as T1, E1, ISDN, four-wire E&M and two-wire telephones.

In addition to offering the DCS-2100, Palomar Products, Inc. develops and manufactures a variety of secure audio and data distribution systems for military airborne, shipboard and ground-based applications.
