14th July 2008, London: Racal Acoustics has now fully implemented its latest investment in production resources for its communication audio management systems that are fitted on BAE Systems Hawk jet trainer aircraft.
These production resources include new Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) for the Hawk Communication Control System (CCS) and an improved environmental chamber. This has already significantly improved manufacturing efficiency and will result in more reliable production planning and improved on-time delivery performance.
Geof Eeles, Racal Acoustics’ Managing Director, said: “These new resources will help to ensure that we can support BAE Systems even better on future Hawk aircraft requirements. Racal Acoustics is proud to be part of the BAE Systems team delivering a highly successful trainer aircraft to many users around the world.”
Racal Acoustics designs and manufactures a comprehensive range of audio management systems and warning devices which are specified for many in-service, fixed and rotary wing aircraft. The company also designs and manufactures high-technology noise attenuating headsets for both air crew and ground crew.
Racal Acoustics will be exhibiting a full range of audio communication solutions including the recently developed Digital Communication Platform (DCP) at the Farnborough Airshow from 14-20 July 2008. You can find Racal Acoustics in Hall 3, stand C20.
