AVISTA Experiences Growing Demand for Critical-Systems Software Project Management Expertise
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – June 14, 2007 – AVISTA Incorporated®, a leader in critical systems software engineering services, has expanded its programs management team with the promotion of lad AI-Dahleh to programs manager. Most recently working as a project lead on life-critical systems projects, AI-Dahleh has led both large and small projects involving all phases of the software lifecycle for avionics and medical device manufacturers. With the growing use of software in these industries, more companies are turning to software engineering services providers like AVISTA to help manage discovery, planning, requirements gathering, and resource allocation for their important DO-178B and FDA 510(k) certification projects.
AI-Dahleh joined AVISTA in 1999 as a software engineer to support the company’s growing client-base. His software development and verification experience spans both avionics and medical electronics projects. He moved to Minnesota in 2004 to help open and lead AVISTA's Minneapolis-area office, as well as performing hands-on software engineering work, including software verification for implanted medical devices. AI-Dahleh is returning to AVISTA’s Platteville headquarters to join the programs management team.
“Iad joined AVISTA eight years ago and quickly became a highly valued member of the team with his excellent work for both avionics and medical device clients,” says James T. Schneller, president of AVISTA Incorporated. “We’re experiencing continued growth with both avionics and medical device clients and Iad understands both industries well. He has demonstrated expertise in successfully leading software certification projects to completion on-time and on-budget.”
Prior to opening AVISTA’s Minneapolis-area office, Al-Dahleh also worked for Digi International in Minnesota as an embedded software engineer. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of South Alabama.
