10/20/2008

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – October 20, 2008 – Esterline AVISTA (AVISTA Incorporated), the U.S. leader in critical systems software engineering services, announces participation at the National Defense Industry Association (NDIA) Systems Engineering Conference this week. Held October 20-23, the conference's objective is to help our military meet its current and new mission area and capabilities requirements. Esterline AVISTA representatives will be on hand presenting tips on requirements definition and management.

WHO/WHAT:

Scott Derby, Programs Manager, Esterline AVISTA "Stop the Pain: Effective Requirements Definition and Management for Project Success"

WHEN:

The conference runs October 20-23, 2008.
Derby's presentation will be on Wednesday, October 22nd at 8:00 a.m.

WHERE:

11th Annual Systems Engineering Conference
Hyatt Regency, Mission Bay, San Diego, California

The session will cover ways to avoid project problems and increase on-time and on-budget delivery. Systems engineering and software development project requirements can often be unrealistic, incomplete, ambiguous, contradictory and un-testable. Teams can avoid these problems with effective planning and a few key approaches to requirements definition and management (RDM).

In addition to the RDM session, other members of the Esterline AVISTA systems engineering team will be in attendance. To schedule a meeting, please contact us at avista@avistainc.com.
