Fire Barriers and Thermal Insulation
Kirkhill-TA developed the Fastblock® system in response to industry’s long-standing need for a complete, easy-to-use fire and thermal protection system that also adds measurable value as an enabling technology for cost and weight reduction. These efforts have resulted in the fully compatible, integrated elements of the Fastblock® system which allow you to rapidly and economically place the desired degree of protection exactly where needed and in the proper amount for cost and weight-optimized designs.
Fastblock® 100 series are ready-to-use firewall sealant, adhesive, and repair compounds for use in high vibration areas. The paste consistency of Fastblock® 100 Series makes it easy to fill large gaps and seal vertical and overhead surfaces. The product can be used as adhesives and repair compounds for other fire and thermal protection products.
Fastblock® 300 series compounds are low-density fire and thermal barriers useful as adhesives and coatings. They can be processed into complex, flexible covers and composite shapes using a variety of tooling and processing techniques. They can be ordered in pre-molded panels, covers, blankets, and sheet for use as stand-alone firewalls and for protecting graphite/epoxy, aluminum, and other sensitive structure.
Fastblock 800® series products are ready-to-use, sprayable, water-based, fire and thermal insulators. These ultra-low density products are suitable for use in the most extreme heat flux environments. Fastblock® 800 series products can be top coated with many common paints and coatings. These materials may also be used to fire and heat protect graphite/epoxy, aluminum, and other sensitive materials in weapons systems, containers, aircraft, ships, and other areas where people and systems would benefit from low fire, smoke and toxicity protection.
